ORIGINAL CONTENT ON THIS DAMN BLOG GO
This little fellow is Quatrefoil. To understand what he is you’d probably need to visit The Plague Doctor, a B/C Guild in Gaia. Don’t be afraid turned off (you’re correct, SNOOF) just because it’s on Gaia—PD is super-cool. ANYWAY.
He’s a plagued Rook chess piece. Quatrefoil has more enthusiasm than sense. He is also very tiny (about an inch and a half tall, I’d say) with HUGE BEEFY ARMS
LIKE THE BIGGEST ARMS
And I drew this as part of their summer event. So. Yep. There. Original content. BI
Oh I feel I should add that his original design and the entire PD concept is (c) Roo, who is neat, so go look at her blog GO. NOW.

Another piece of art from the Plague Doctor summer event. This is Santiago, a plagued ship in a bottle. He’s about four inches tall, but he usually walks all hunched over so he seems smaller.
ONCE AGAIN, THIS IS JUST A RESULT OF MY RAMPANT GOOFINESS
THERE TUMBLR
YOU HAVE BEEN APPEASED
Also, the PD concept and Santiago’s design are (c) Roo, so go look at her blog because it has MORE. STUFF.

This is some art I was hired to do for an RP community, Plague Doctor, a while back. It’s going to develop into a humanoid character through RP, and was given away to a new player, in this case the lovely Pontabulous, via writing contest. All the artists hired got to choose their own item to draw, I chose a narwhal tusk and stuck it in the bust pictured. This was fun to do and god knows I need practice drawing items, LOL. I’m excited for Varrus to grow, though! <3
ANYWAY YES, if you like art and literate historical fantasy RP communities, I strongly suggest visiting Plague Doctor and giving it a go. It’s a little difficult to get into, but it’s one of the few places I write for anymore, and it’s honestly the best RP community I’ve ever been in. * u *b
RP. Unicorns. History. FOR THE FEW PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO DIDN’T KNOW, I am a nerd.
REBLOGGING NEAT UNICORN ART and also this stunning testimonial for PD, which is awesome and very fun even if you’re not officially IN-IN. Like, if you’re just some klind of crazy lurker who creeps peoples’ journals.
but we don’t know anyone like that do we

Posted on October 6, 2011 at 2:50 AMDuring the Bubonic Plague, doctors wore these bird-like masks to avoid becoming sick. They would fill the beaks with spices and rose petals, so they wouldn’t have to smell the rotting bodies.
A theory during the Bubonic Plague was that the plague was caused by evil spirits. To scare the spirits away, the masks were intentionally designed to be creepy.
i am SURE we have this on here already but MORE PLAGUE DOCTORS NEVER HURT
Yep never too many plague doctors on my blog.
Posted on October 9, 2011 at 3:32 AMWIP of megaweapon’s commission!
……HOLY CRAP HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS BEFORE? I saw this and immediately died. I’m sure nobody saw that coming.
I am a bad. A BAD MEGAWEAPON. FOR NOT SEEING THIS. Ahh, must reblog, the lineart on this piece is so lovely, and it looks just as lovely on the final work, but it;’s so much easier to appreciate it here. <3 Roo, you are great GRATE. You are amazing. Just in case I didn’t say it enough times before.
Well if this isn’t just the thing to put me back into a better mood.
